This weekend I had my Old Man fly up from Adelaide for his birthday and a suprise present of a day at Top Gear Live.
If you are one of the many millions of people who have seen the show, you will be aware that it is basically a mix of incredibly expensive european supercars and shenannigans between the hosts.
The live version was basically the same although slightly less censored. I decided to take a few happy snaps on the trusty iphone to document some of the ridiculously dope cars on premise that day.
Big ups to Stormin' Norm for the great weekend!

RA the rugged man just dropped a new clip for a song off of 'Die Rugged Man, Die' - "A star is born". I always thought this track would make a great clip, it's dope that they shot one for it.

Good Vibes Gold Coast 2011
The weekend just gone the crew got together to roll down to Good Vibes Gold Coast.
With a lineup comprising of Nas, Damien Marley, Erykah Badu, Aloe Blacc, Ludacris and Tommy Illfigga, we new a big one was instore.
We kicked off with breakfast beers and a well executed Ed Hardy T-shirt prank on our homey Apples ( which may turn up on the blog soon) before rolling down to the GC in Uncle J's homies pimped out Get Shorty van.
Special shout outs to the ironically named E-kills, who after only being out of the car for about 4 minutes, managed to get himself arrested and charged before even entering the venue, a new crew record.
In between checking out ill sets and connecting with friends, I wandered around snapping terrible iphone pics and people watching. Here is some of the flicks. Shouts to Irena and Ryan for being getting down with the spirit of the snapfest.

Statik Selektah & Termanology's new venture continues to impress. Xzibit even stops putting things in things so people can do things while they do things long enough to drop a tidy verse.

Boardgame Movies - this is what cinema has come to
It's only recently come to my attention that they are making a movie, based on the board game battleship. I'll just let that sink in for a second for anyone else who this is also news to.
Battleship.
C6
Miss
A9
Miss
THAT battleship.

cinema GOLD!
Only in the movie version, the battleship is a 5 nation fleet and the guy on the other side of the board is ALIENS
bet you didn't see that coming did you.
Starring in this modern cinematic masterpiece, is Rhianna as a tough no nonsense stereotype, and sadly Liam Neeson as some Admiral. WTF Liam! You are better than this!
The scariest thing is this piece of shit has been given a budget of $200 million. Seriously, this is the kind of movie Uwe Boll would make - and it gets 200 mil.
I can only conclude from all of this, that Hollywood has FAR too much access to cocaine, and that they've run out of comic books to turn into movies.
If this is the kind of shit that can get a green light these days, then fuck it - i'm going into movies. I have spent literally minutes coming up with some ideas, and i think there is some potential here. Coked out hollywood money men, send your cash to me and lets do this thing.
Connect 4
It is a dystopian future, where mankind suffers under the tyrannical rule of sentient machines that only very vaguely resemble terminators. The key to bringing them down, is humanities greatest weapon... a massive EMP pulse bomb. However there is a hitch. To get the EMP bomb online - a series of 4 reactors must be brought online in sequence. Little do the human freedom fighters know, that the machines have their own ultimate weapon! a umm... flesh eating virus bomb. yeah that'll do. The machines need to complete their own chain of reactors to bring it online, triggering a deadly race between the two factions.
Starring: Lady GaGa as the robot queen and Chet Haze as the leader of the resistance.

Chet.FUCKING.Haze
Hungry Hungry Hippos
A team of elite Zoologists are on an expedition to Africa to explore a previously undiscovered section of jungle or bush or whatever they have in Africa. While they are studying the interesting new breeds of animal life, something awakens. Something old, something deadly, something.... hippo. Now this small team must fight for their survival against a pack of marauding creatures with an insatiable appetite for human flesh. Will they survive? or will they all fall victim to the... hungry hungry hippos
Starring Michelle Rodriguez, Ving Rhames and Chris Tucker

damn girl you gettin eaten by a Hippo!
Scrabble
Tom is a regular guy with a boring job and a boring life. Every morning, Tom does his word jumble on the train to work and it is unremarkable enough - until one day, something changes. Tom starts to find combination's of words that appear to form instructions. Curious, he follows the clues into a world of intrigue where his very life and the fate of all mankind will be at stake. Being stalked by mysterious figures and government agents, can he solve the puzzle before it is too late? Also he is an ex navy seal and there are some aliens.
Starring Bear Grylls as Tom

the word scramble is telling me to drink my own piss

Banksy v Simpsons
I may be a little behind the times on this, but I thought it was kind of crazy that Banksy got the chance to direct an intro to The Simpsons late last year. Even more so that Fox agreed to let him go with his social commentary.

Good advice
Was just having a read of Ether and Utah's blog, and came across some excellent advice for those who may occasionally indulge in documenting their works of art on moving steel canvasses. Have a read:
“I thought i would share some information, something i have not seen anyone go into detail regarding on any of the blogs or forums in recent years. It concerns exif data. Exif data is a digital code your camera imprints into every photo you take, and sticks with it where ever it travels around the internet and among friends etc. Details such as time and date, are easily messed up by just not setting your time correctly, but what is hard to shift, and what can fuck you royally, is the serial number of the camera used to take the photo.
You take a photo of a panel, and that ends up on the internet, with very simple software you can decode that photo to find the camera model, and serial number. Where do you think an internet search for other photos uploaded with that same serial number attached to it will lead? More than likely, your personal facebook page, or blog, website or personal flickr. If the shot is clearly a yard or night shot, thats your door off the hinges at 7am, and probably the camera itself, within your room, and more than likely for most, some sort of literature that shows you like graffiti on trains. Pretty tech stuff, but this is 2011 and thats a tiny part of the high tech shit they will use to track you down.
So keep your fliks off the net, exif data is trashable, with techy software, but a simpler way to get rid of most of the data, if you must send it to someone, is to open the flik and print screen it and send that one.
Good info, and then Shifty Tully dropped this gem in the comments:
Nice article. To get rid of ALL exif data use a program called JStrip, it’s free, and doesn’t recompress the photos or anything. Make sure you set the date and time on your camera incorrect too.
Remember memory cards can be unformatted, or undeleted. use a free program called Eraser to securely erase the files or whole card.
Take notice if its applicable to you, and stay safe kids.

Karma is a big fan of MMA
mI am NOT a fan of cocksuckers who fake tap gloves and then then throw for a KO. Its not much a of a step up from a sucker punch.
Fortunately, Karma is a fan of MMA so it was nice to see Cowboy choking Kelly's cheapshot ass a little later.
Not so much Karma, but Gabe Reudiger is just one of those guys you like to see get KO'd, so when i saw this, i was double stoked.
