I'd rather bust a nut than....
This piece was a bit of a mission. Started off as a bit of a crew wall with a friend of ours who was visiting from Melbourne.
I caught a late start, and between catchups, beers and conversations, didn't quite get it finished.
With every intention of getting back there the next day, life intervened an it was a slight bit longer than I had planned.
The inevitable happened and this almost finished piece was capped hard with some bullshit right thru the middle of it.. I got off lucky though, Honk's piece had a big dick and balls sprayed thru the middle of his.
I liked where this piece was heading too much to let it die so I bit the bullet and went to work fixing it up.
In the end I'm glad I did.
Will upload the joinups of this and a couple of other dope walls soon.
Raw protest footage
Showing what we already know, Police using unwarrented and illegal force on the public theyre meant to serve and protect.
Lots more footage to be found online, much of it is collated here
According to recent statistics, 1722 people complained of being wrongfully pepper-sprayed by New York police officers between 2006 and 2010. Of that number, the civilian review board substantiated just 22 complaints

JBL, GM, SIA | Bowden Wall - Adelaide, Australia. - via Ironlak.com
A collective of writers from JBL, GM and SIA crews in Adelaide recently got together to re-work one of the city's most revered trackside walls. The "Coglin Street Bowden Wall" has featured 25 years of Adelaide's most respected graffiti burners.
"It was a complete schmozzle painting that wall, massive respect to how they conquered all those years ago... I'm amazed it came out as good as it did. It's a testament to a couple of the artists who were on the wall, mainly WHAT and VANS the OMEGA for havin' the skill to get the job done. My piece nearly ended me, it was a total nightmare ha, but the job got done in the end. Big ups to Ironlak for the support!" -Muger.
Featured writers on the day (from left) were TEXTA, CUDA, WHAT, VANS the OMEGA, MUGER, TASTE and GETOS.

McFly!
Dopeness being blogged at The Hundreds..
So this is what’s going on. About a year ago, Dime exposed that Nike had filed the patent for a self-lacing system on a sneaker silhouette that looked strikingly similar to Marty McFly’s shoe in Back to the Future II. Since then, there has been speculation that Nike is working on actually creating and producing the mythical shoe, and that all came to a head over the past few weeks as media and luminaries alike have been flown into Los Angeles for a top-secret special event, hosted by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield.
I got the phone call from Nike a few weeks ago. Would I be available for a couple days at the start of September? And if so, a private car would be driving me back and forth, there wouldn’t be any other information made available, but trust, this was right up my alley. I could potentially blog, but there really wasn’t any information beyond that… Okay sure why not, right?
At the same time, a separate agency was requesting usage of my DeLorean for the same date, and also for an exclusive Nike event. Got me wondering…as well as some of my friends. Jensen was over at my house on Labor Day and he was the one to point it out. This had to all be for the Back to the Future II shoe. Right??
I was driven to the W Hotel in Hollywood at midnight tonight. I showed up and 2 dudes greeted me at the front steps by name, showed me to my room, where I found this. Looks like we were right on the money. The BTTF DVD set (as if I didn’t have it on Blu-Ray already), the Pepsi bottle as an homage to the Ronald Reagan/Max Headroom scene in BTTF II, and ’80s-era candy.
Then this. An iPod where Christopher Lloyd’s character Doc Brown tells me that over the next 24 hours, “I’m about to see a lotta cool shit!”
Inside, the physical invitation to a major event at Nike’s Montalban space tomorrow night, hosted by Tinker Hatfield himself.
And more importantly, replica Doc Brown glasses from the future.
Nice touch, Nike.
Anyways, stay tuned to the blog as I bring you along for the ride. Needless to say, this is a pretty awesome endeavor – certainly one of my personal life’s and career’s milestones. For all of you who know how much Back to the Future II means to me – not just my favorite movie of all time but such a profound influence on much of The Hundreds’ creative direction – this is pretty monumental. Hold tight. We’re about to hit 88.
88 MPH.

Bacon x Graffiti x Cubism
Just peeped this incredible burner by Bacon. Probably my favourite piece I have seen all year.
The thing I really love about this is that I have been a huge lover of cubism since I was young and this piece to me is an extension of that feel.
If Georges Braque or Picasso had been a writer, i feel certain they would have painted something like this.
I think while its in a similar vein to the diamondism stuff askew and berst have pushed, its heading in a new direction and finding a new style.
Great, unique, inspirational piece.

Occy
I remember semi-idolising this guy when i was just a kid.
A decade or two later, he is still ripping it on any board, any conditions. Incredible.
